Know your forest.
Tree by tree.
ZertiCarbon transforms aerial imagery, LiDAR, field observations and AI-assisted analysis into precise forest data that can be monitored throughout the lifecycle of the forest.

From sapling to maturity
Our monitoring covers the full lifecycle of a tree. We can detect and count saplings shortly after planting, and measure trees at any stage of growth, all the way to full maturity.
Repeated surveys make it possible to follow how trees and forest stands evolve over time, creating a consistent record of growth and change.
From aerial survey to individual trees
ZertiCarbon combines high-resolution aerial imagery, LiDAR and field observations to build a detailed view of the forest and identify individual trees.
The objective is not only to understand the forest at stand level, but to follow individual trees and compare their evolution across successive surveys.

A richer picture of every tree
Depending on the available data and survey conditions, ZertiCarbon can analyse characteristics such as species, height, crown dimensions and diameter-related information, and use these measurements as inputs for biomass and carbon modelling.
A digital view of the real forest
Forest measurements can be organised into a digital representation that helps owners and managers understand current forest conditions and how they evolve over time.
Tree-level monitoring
Individual tree identification and characterisation across stands.
3D forest modelling
Spatial and vertical structure modelling based on LiDAR and imagery.
Biomass calculation
Stand and individual tree biomass estimations using measured dimensions.
Carbon capture modelling
Quantification of carbon accumulation over time across forest parcels.
Historical evolution
Tracking multi-year changes across successive survey intervals.
Management planning
Operational decision support for silvicultural interventions and thinning.
Measure again. Compare. Understand change.
A forest is not static. Repeated surveys allow ZertiCarbon to compare measurements over time and build a historical record of forest development.
Using a consistent measurement approach helps reduce subjectivity and makes changes in tree growth and forest structure easier to follow.
From forest intelligence to Climate-Smart Forestry
Better forest information can support better forest management. ZertiCarbon uses forest intelligence to help evaluate management actions designed to improve forest health, resilience, carbon capture and biodiversity.
Measure first. Manage better.
Aligned with the direction of the EU Carbon Removal Certification Framework
ZertiCarbon has followed the development of the EU Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming Certification Framework (CRCF) from an early stage. In 2023, ZertiCarbon was invited to participate in the European Commission’s Expert Group on Carbon Removals work on carbon farming and forestry methodologies.
The CRCF places particular emphasis on robust quantification, monitoring, verification, traceability and sustainability — principles that are directly relevant to ZertiCarbon’s approach to forest monitoring and carbon measurement.
In 2026, the European Commission adopted CRCF carbon farming methodologies covering afforestation, reinforcing the importance of consistent forest monitoring and credible carbon quantification.
